The painter Evelyne, Belgian, has recently decided to make her home in Florida after a long nomadic life. Born in Algeria on 1976, she was first schooled in Belgium, then in many African countries before spending years in United Kingdom, Macedonia, Albania without stopping her travels around the world. She has been profoundly marked by all these cultures, producing a synthesis of this cultural mixed in her work : colors both warm and cold, lines both geometric and flowing, explicit and implied themes, logic and disorder...
She first fell in love with painting while watching her mother paint for hours in the family kitchen. She began sketching at her mother's side, moved on to watercolors, and finally decided upon oils and large canvases. Despite her growing passion for painting, she choose to enroll in journalism school, her bachelor completed she passed a masters in French as a Foreign Language, followed by a degree in Diet and Nutrition. But her studies never took her far from painting for a significant amount of time. Evelyne picked up her brushes again seriously in 2000, and stayed up all night blending colors and painting her favorite motifs on a large scale : flowers, landscapes, emotions...and so on. Since then she exhibited her art in Brussels, Anvers, London, Skopje, Tirana…
Now mother of one year old twin boys she explores a new "palette" of sensations as well as an other life's vision what will be shown soon through her recent paintings in some major art events of Florida.
As a self-educated artist, Evelyne breaks the conventional art school mould. She makes intuitive art, filled with spontaneity, dynamism and originality.
